Kamloops, BC—The Thompson Rivers University WolfPack women’s soccer team has seen its home and season opening weekend for the 2017-18 Canada West regular season changed.

The WolfPack were to have opened the season and their home schedule on the weekend of September 9-10 th against the University of Northern British Columbia Timberwolves and the MacEwan University Griffins.

The Griffins were to have been here on the Saturday with UNBC paying a visit to Hillside Stadium on Sunday.  Instead, the WolfPack will be travelling to UNBC on Friday, September 8 th and then meeting the Griffins on Sunday September 10th in Edmonton.

The original schedule had UNBC and MacEwan hosting TRU on the weekend of October 20-22nd.   Instead, the Timberwolves will be here Saturday October 21 st with MacEwan visiting Hillside Stadium on Sunday, October 22nd.

The Saturday game will have a noon start time and be followed by the WolfPack men’s final regular season home tilt—against the University of British Columbia Okanagan Heat at 2 pm.

The Sunday (Oct 22) TRU/MacEwan game will have a noon start time.

Officials are citing the smoke conditions as a result of the Interior Wildfires along with a situation last year where the ‘Pack went to Prince George that October weekend and got snowed out.
As a result of the changes, TRU women’s soccer’s home opener will not occur until Saturday September 23rd when the University of British Columbia Thunderbirds come to Kamloops. Kick off will be noon at Hillside.
