LANGLEY, British Columbia – Trinity Western will be well-represented at this year’s Summer Universiade, with current Spartan Regan Yee (South Hazelton, B.C.) joined by three TWU alums, in James Linde (Coquitlam, B.C.), Nathan George (Coquitlam) and Nikki Cornwall (Coquitlam), as they don the Maple Leaf, Taipei City.

Yee, who will enter her fifth year as a Spartan this fall, will compete in the 1500m, while George, who graduated this past spring, will race in the 400m and Linde, who also graduated this year, will run in both the 100m and 200m. Cornwall will represent her country with Canada’s indoor women’s volleyball team.

For both Yee and Cornwall, this will be their second chance to don the Maple Leaf at the Summer Universiade. In 2015 in Gwangju, South Korea, Cornwall helped Canada’s women’s volleyball team to a sixth place finish, while Yee competed in the 3000m steeplechase in 2015, finishing seventh overall.

Both Linde and George will be competing in the Summer Universiade for the first time, with both looking to build off already strong summer performances.
