(Vancouver) The BC Lions (5-5) return to BC Place this Friday at 7:00 pm to host the Montreal Alouettes (3-7) presented by the BC Construction Association, LNG Canada and Industry Training Authority.
In keeping with this week’s Salute the Trades theme, the first 3,000 fans through the gates on Friday night will receive an orange BC Lions hardhat courtesy of Mark’s.
Fans are encouraged to head down to the game in plenty of time to enjoy the Nissan Tailgate Party. In addition to the unique tailgating experience that only football offers, Lions fans can meet-up in the beer garden and enjoy delicious menu specials. Early-bird food and beverage pricing is also in effect inside BC Place from 6:00 to 6:30 pm.
A nod to the trades with a workman-like effort would serve Wally Buono’s squad well as they look to get back in the win column following three consecutive setbacks. Coming off a mid-season bye week, the Leos need to bring their lunch pails to BC Place against a snarly Montreal Alouettes squad that has also dropped its last three games.
Quarterback Travis Lulay has been handed the keys to the offence by Buono and the veteran pivot knows all about guiding the Lions out of the darkness. He’ll lead an attack brimming with playmakers who must get on a roll with eight games left on the schedule including four at home against the East Division.
Summer vacation is over, class is in and the Lions need a ‘W’ on Friday night.
