Good news for Kelowna today out of Alberta as the Calgary Flames reduced their roster, assigning Dillon Dube back to the Kelowna Rockets.

Dube will be returning to Kelowna and will be in the lineup on Friday night when the Rockets host the Everett Silvertips at Prospera Place.

Despite an injury shortened season last year, Dube still finished 5th on the Rockets in scoring with 20 goals, 35 assists and 55 points in 40 games played. The skilled forward also added seven goals and 14 assists for 21 points in 17 playoff games to finish tied with Calvin Thurkauf for second on the team in post season scoring.

The 19-year-old from Cochrane, AB also took home a silver medal with Team Canada at the IIHF World Junior Championship last Christmas.

Dube returns to Kelowna with a new leadership role, as he was named one of three Assistant Captains last week.

Catch Dube in a Rockets uniform for the first time this season on Friday, September 29th, at Prospera Place when the Rockets take on the Everett Silvertips. Puck drop is at 7:05pm.
