Brandon Potomak

LANGLEY, B.C. – Trinity Western University forward Brandon Potomak (Aldergrove, B.C.) is the BCIHL Anything Branded Player of the Week for the week ending October 22nd.

The 22-year-old first-year player led the Spartans offence during an 11-1 romp over the University of Victoria on Friday night in TWU’s lone game of the week.

The TWU forward scored once and added two assists in the second period alone as the Spartans built a 6-1 lead. The Chilliwack Chiefs graduate notched a goal and an assist in the third period en route to a dominant victory.

Potomak’s four goals is tied for second in the BCIHL while his seven points in four games has him tied for second in league scoring.

TWU’s Evan Last (Surrey, B.C.), who had two goals and two assists in TWU’s win over the Vikes, was a runner-up for this week’s award.

He is the second Spartan to be named player of the week, following on the heels of Dirk de Waal (Lethbridge, Alta.), who earned the same honour following the first week of BCIHL action.

Vancouver Island University forward Joshua Cook, Selkirk College forward Dallas Calvin, and Eastern Washington University forward Beau Walker were also runners-up for the Anything Branded Player of the Week.
