It’s hard to know how happy Seahawks fans should be coming out of their win over the Arizona Cardinals. Once again the Hawks continued to shoot themselves in the foot with constant and needless penalties on both sides of the ball. Certainly this would have been the major storyline coming out of this game if it wasn’t for the injuries that casts serious doubt on whether Seattle can be a serious contender going forward. With time running down in the 3rd quarter cornerback Richard Sherman went down with what appears to be a season ending Achilles injury. If that is indeed the case it is a significant blow to Seattle’s once vaunted defense. Their prized acquisition at the trade deadline left tackle Duane Brown also went down to an ankle injury. On a positive note Seattle was able to overcome all the adversity to win a game that was a must if they plan on staying in touch with the LA Rams in the race for the NFC West. The question moving forward is can they survive the loss of one of the game’s elite players?
