MADRID, SPAIN – Canada’s Men’s Rugby Team picked up a 37-27 victory over Spain on Saturday in their second test match of the 2017 November internationals.

The win for 23rd ranked Canada over 20th seeded Spain marks the first for new head coach Kingsley Jones in his second at the helm.

DTH van der Merwe and Taylor Paris combined for four tries and Brock Staller added 17 points off the boot in the victory. Spain scored four tries as well, but only added two conversions and one penalty.

All eyes are on January 27th at BC Place in Vancouver in the first leg of the 2019 Rugby World Cup qualifiers when Canada hosts Uruguay. Canada will now travel to Narbonne, France to close out 2017 against Fiji on November 25th.
