MILL BAY, B.C. – Mateo Albinati scored three goals, Patrick Ostermann stopped 40 shots, and the Victoria Cougars beat the Kerry Park Islanders 4-2 on Saturday night.

Also scoring for Victoria was Foster Martin.

The Cougars, coming off an ugly loss to the Saanich Braves two nights ago, enjoyed period leads of 1-0 and 2-0.

Sampson McLean and Parker Ellis replied in a losing cause.

Victoria finished 1-for-5 on the power play and gave up a shorthanded goal.  Meanwhile, the Islanders went 0-for-7 with the man advantage.

Parker Swanson made 20 saves in his debut for Kerry Park.

Elsewhere in the VIJHL:  Oceanside Generals 4, Peninsula Panthers 3.  Nanaimo Buccaneers 6, Comox Valley Glacier Kings 4.
