Former Victoria Cougars star passes away in his sleep

The Victoria Cougars are sad to announce that Mitch Fadden has passed away in his sleep earlier this week at the age of 29.

In 2003-04, Fadden compiled 47 goals and 35 assists for 82 points in 58 games.

Fadden went on to play for the Seattle Thunderbirds, Lethbridge Hurricanes, and Tri-City Americans of the Western Hockey League.

His talents did not go unnoticed as Fadden was selected in the fourth round of the 2007 National Hockey League Entry Draft by the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Our condolences to the Fadden family.
