Royals Deal Jeremy Masella To Prince Albert Raiders

Victoria, BC – The Victoria Royals have acquired forward D-Jay Jerome (1999) from the Prince Albert Raiders in exchange for defenceman Jeremy Masella (1999).

A product of Lethbridge, AB, Jerome has suited up in 31 games for the Raiders this season and has registered an assist and 40 minutes in penalties.


Last year, his first in the WHL, Jerome registered 16 points (8g-8a) to go along with 16 penalty minutes in 55 games split between the Red Deer Rebels and Raiders.


The 6-2, 180 lb forward was originally added to the Rebels’ 50-man Protected List back in 2016.

Through 35 games this season, Masella has tallied seven points (3g-4a) and 34 penalty minutes.


The 6-5, 214 lb blueliner, has played in 63 career WHL games, all with Victoria (2016-18), and has earned eight points (3g-5a) to go along with 64 penalty minutes.


The Phoenix, AZ native was added to the Royals’ 50-man Protected List in 2015.
