VCRC athlete to row at 2018 Erg Sprints this Saturday

Elk Lake, BC – The Victoria City Rowing Club is proud to announce that Carl Schoch will compete at the Erg Sprints World Rowing Indoor Championships this weekend in Alexandria, VA.

 

Carl will compete in the Veteran C Men’s 2000 meter sprint on Saturday, with the event scheduled to start at 6:00 a.m. Pacific Standard Time. He qualified for the championships earlier this month at the University of Victoria’s Monster Erg where he earned a first-place finish in the Masters Men C+ event.

Last year, after only six months in the sport, Carl earned a bronze medal at the 2017 CRASH-B World Indoor Rowing Championships in Boston, MA. Carl was also named the VCRC Outstanding Male Rower for 2017.
