Curl BC is delighted to announce that Mario Annicchiarico will be joining Curl BC as the new Communications and Marketing Manager.
Originally from Edmonton, Mario has 32 years’ experience as a sports reporter. Until recently he was well known to curling fans on Vancouver Island as a sports reporter who covered curling for the Victoria Times Colonist.
He will now take over the responsibilities of the role of Communications and Marketing Manager for a period of 12 months while Rebecca Connop Price is on maternity leave.
Mario said he looked forward to promoting this wonderful game.
“Over my 32-plus years as a sports reporter I had the pleasure to cover the likes of Randy Ferbey, Kevin Martin and Kevin Koe along with Heather Nedohin and Val Sweeting – and so many more of the top curlers of the nation – in the curling-crazed Edmonton area. I have continued to promote the sport since my move to Victoria and I look forward to putting those skills to work at Curl BC.”
Mario and his wife Annette live in Victoria. He will start his term with Curl BC on February 26.
Scott Braley, Curl BC CEO, said: “We look forward to having Mario on our team. He is passionate about curling and curls twice a week at the Victoria Curling Club and we know he will be dedicated to this new role.”
