The Victoria Grizzlies vs Alberni Valley Bulldogs Game 1 of Best of 7 series
Tonight at 7pm at the Q Centre Arena.

Keys To The Bear Cave:

Ready For War:

These 2 teams have seen a lot of each other this season and towards the end of the season tensions were starting to boil over. With a guarantee of seeing each other at least 4 more times, get ready for some hard hitting gritty hockey.

Where They Want To Be:

In the final games of the regular season, there was a three way battle for first place in the Island Division. Victoria, Nanaimo, and Powell River were all in a gruelling battle, the team in 1st place would play Alberni Valley and 2nd and 3rd would play each other. Coach Craig Didmon said that the team would rather play Alberni Valley and let the other 2 team play each other. As luck would have it, Victoria took top spot and here we are.

Ready To Make Another Run:

Last season, the Grizzlies had one of the deeper runs in their history last season making all the way to the 3rd round eventually loosing to Chilliwack in 6 games. The team has many returning plays that remember that run and hope to continue forward and make a deeper run.
