WolfPack Heading to Lethbridge with Momentum

Kamloops, BC – Coming off a huge weekend, the Thompson Rivers University WolfPack baseball team are heading to Lethbridge to take on the Prairie Baseball Academy Dawgs with momentum on their side.

The WolfPack went 4-0, scoring 29 runs on 45 hits last weekend against the Vancouver Island Mariners. They’re going to Lethbridge with a four game winning streak and a 7-8 record. Meanwhile, the PBA Dawgs are struggling of late as they lost two of three games to the University of Calgary last weekend. PBA’s current record is 5-7.

“I think we need to play relaxed and have fun out there. We play our best baseball when we do this,” says pitcher Tyler Moskalyk.

“We just have to trust our ability, Ray has been saying it from day 1 that we will hit,” says Josh Snider, “We just took down one of the best guys in the league with Gurr from VI. As long as we trust in our abilities, there is no way we can’t come back to BC with 4 wins.”

Going into this weekend, Vance Fode tied for first in the CCBC with three homeruns on the season and is second in the league with 14 RBIs. On the pitching side, the ‘Pack have three pitchers in the top four in the league in strikeouts. Tyler Moskalyk leads the league with 41 strikeouts, followed by Tyler Hodder who has 30. Dillon Ferguson is 4th with 19.

Game times for Saturday, April 21st are 11am and 2pm. 10am and 1pm are the game times for Sunday.
