ROYALS’ NOAH GREGOR ASSIGNED TO THE AHL’S SAN JOSE BARRACUDA

Victoria, BC – The Victoria Royals are proud to announce that forward Noah Gregor has been assigned to the American Hockey League’s (AHL) San Jose Barracuda by the San Jose Sharks of the NHL.

 

Gregor was signed to a three-year entry level contract by the Sharks on April 6th and was originally drafted by the club in the fourth round, 111th overall, in the 2016 NHL Draft.

 

The product of Beaumont, AB, earned 65 points (29g-36a) this season in 60 games split between the Royals and Moose Jaw Warriors. Gregor’s 29 goals set a new career high. He also played in seven playoff games and recorded 12 points (6g-6a) to finish third on the team in post-season scoring.

 

Last season, Gregor finished fourth in team scoring with Moose Jaw as he registered 27 goals and 34 assists for 61 points in just 52 contests. During the 2015-16 season, he tallied a career high 73 points (28g-45) as he finished the year as the Eastern Conference recipient for the Rookie of the Year.

 

The 6-0, 188 lb forward has spent his entire four year WHL career split between the Royals and Warriors where he has played in 194 regular season games and scored 205 points (86g-119a). He has also recorded 23 points (11g-12a) in 28 career playoff contests.
