The Jr. ‘A’ Shamrocks battled the Port Coquitlam Saints for 70 minutes, managing to come away with a 12-12 overtime tie Saturday at the Q Centre.  The score was tied after every period as Victoria would pull ahead and the Saints would pull even.  Leading Victoria’s offense were Ben Preston with the hat trick and 2 helpers while Jake Campbell added 2 goals and 3 assists.  Braylon Lumb added 3 goals and 1 assist with singles coming from Skyler Wilson, Braydon Brown, Jackson Boyd, and Brian Robb.  The Jr. ‘A’ Shamrocks’ next action is next Saturday, May 19 when they will host the Burnaby Lakers in a 4:00 pm start at the Q Centre.


In the earlier contest, the Tier 1 Jr. B Shamrocks hammered the visiting Delta Islanders by a 20-4 score.  They led 6-3 and 15-4 before scoring 5 unanswered goals in the final frame.  Numerous Shamrock players had big nights, including hat tricks from Isaac Swan, Patrick Dodds, Jonathan Boyd and Casey Wilson and a 2-goal performance by Garrett Murray.  The Tier 1 Rocks travel to Port Coquitlam Sunday and return to the Q Centre next Saturday, May 19.  In a 1:00 pm start they will take on the Langley Thunder.
