Tier 1 Rocks Beat Nanaimo

The Tier 1 Junior B Shamrocks squeaked out a 12-10 home floor win against their island rivals, the Nanaimo Timbermen Tuesday at the Q Centre.

After suffering a loss on the road Sunday, the Rocks are looking to start a new winning streak.  Scores were tied 3-3 and 9-9 by period before the home team outscored the visitors 3-1 in the final 20 minutes to bring home the victory.

Patrick Dodds, Casey Wilson and Jonathan Boyd each had a pair of goals for the victors with singles coming from Brody Black, Liam Phillips, Denton Madonald, Owen Russell, Jared Wendt and Travis Pullan.

Next action for the Tier 1 Shamrocks is Saturday, June 2  at the Q Centre at 1:00 pm when they will take on the New Westminster Salmonbellies.

The Jr. ‘A’ Shamrocks are also in action Saturday at 4:00 pm when they will face the Coquitlam Adanacs at the Q Centre
