The Vancouver Island Wave will be represented in three (3) provincial soccer finals this weekend.

On Saturday June 23rd the VI Wave will play against Mountain United in U14 Boys coached by Victor Fereira.  This group of boys were finalists last season and are looking to improve on last year’s performance.

Also on Saturday June 23rd the VI Wave U15 Boys coached by Blair Sturrock and Riley O’Neil will play for the provincial title vs Surrey United. This sets up a re-match of last year’s final where the VI Wave came out victorious.  The winner of this U15 match will represent BC at the National Championships in the fall.

On Sunday the VI Wave U16 Girls coached by Steph Steiner and Lyle Eggen will face Surrey United.  The U16 girls were this year’s league champions and beat Fusion FC in the semi-finals last weekend in extra-time to earn a spot in this weekend’s final.

Last season the VI Wave brought home provincial trophies in the U14 boys and U16 boys competitions and were also finalists in the U13 boys and U18 girls competitions.
