Jr. Rocks Drop Final Regular Season Game

The Jr. Shamrocks were hoping to pull off a win in Coquitlam Sunday to move into third place in the standings but it was not to be as they fell 14-9 to the league-leading Adanacs.  The Rocks will finish in fourth and the Adanacs will be their opponent in the first playoff round.  The score was tied 4-4 after the first but Coquitlam jumped up to lead 11-5 by the end of forty minutes on the way to the win.  Leading the Shamrocks offensively was Marshal King with 3 goals and 3 assists.  Ben Preston chipped in 2 goals and 2 assists while Braylon Lumb added 2 goals and 1 helper.  Singles came from Brad McCulley and Skyler Wilson.  Lumb wins the league scoring award with 103 points.  Playoffs start next weekend with game 1 in Coquitlam Saturday, July 14 and game 2 at the Save On Foods Memorial Centre Sunday at 1:00 pm.

The Tier 1 Junior B Rocks on the other hand begin playoffs at home on Saturday, that game also taking place at Save On at 1:00 pm before traveling for game 2 on Sunday.
