Both the Jr. ‘A’ and Tier 1 Shamrocks were in action today on different sides of the Strait.  At the Save-On Foods Memorial Centre the Jr. ‘A’ Shamrocks faced the Coquitlam Adanacs in game 2 of their best-of-five semi-final series.  It was a low-scoring affair, at one time tied 4-4 but the Adanacs eventually coming out with an 8-4 win to go up 2 games to 0.  Game 3 will be in Coquitlam next Saturday, July 21 and, should a game 4 be required the series will return to the Q Centre on Sunday, July 22.

Meanwhile on the mainland, the Tier 1 Jr. B Shamrocks took their quarter-final series against the Richmond Roadrunners 2 straight.  After a 10-5 win at home, it was a tight game, requiring double overtime with the Rocks winning 11-10.  They will now await their semi-final opponent with a potential start date at home next Saturday.
