Zone 6 (Vancouver Island – Central Coast) maintained their top spot in Girls 1500 Race Walk by surpassing their own zone’s 18 year-old record that was set in 2000. The baton has been passed to 15 year-old Olivia Lundman from Lantzville who crossed the line with a time of 7:22.41, cutting the previous time by over 5 seconds!

Zone 4 (Fraser River) broke two records on Saturday. The Boys Triple Jump record stood untouched for 25 years, but today Praise Aniamaka has bested the 1993 record by leaping 13.30 metres. Ella Foster pole vaulted her way over the 2008 record by a single centimetre, soaring to a height of 3m 11cm.
