Nanaimo Timbermen Junior A Awards Day

On a beautiful sunny Shawnigan Lake day the Nanaimo Timbermen Junior A’s celebrated their season. The team and their families gathered to acknowledge the progress made. First up was a presentation to two graduating players Jake Mickelson and Chris Benedict who are now proud members of the Junior Timbermen alumni.

Also recognized were top rookie Ryan Sheridan and top scorer Thomas Vaesen. Unsung hero was Ari Stevens. Most improved player was Mason McAdams. Players choice was awarded to popular graduating captain Jake Mickelson . Top defensive player and team MVP was awarded to new captain Will Johansen.

Also acknowledged on the day with the Earl Nicholson Volunteer Award were Cathie Bavington and Gary Johansen. The team is coached by Dave Bremner who is assisted by Bill Waddell and Steve Bishop. Team trainer is Jim Miller. Thank you to all the players coaches and families who have made this such a great team to be a part of.
