The Tier 1 Jr. Shamrocks won game 1 in their best-of-three league final series Friday at the Q Centre, defeating the Coquitlam Adanacs 10-8.  Despite being down 3-2 after the first period, the Rocks held a 7-6 lead after 40 minutes and fought back from an 8-7 deficit early in the third to score the last 3 straight goals to pull off the victory.  Brody Black led the attack with 2 goals and 4 assists.  Casey Wilson and Colten Gnech also each had a pair of goals with singles coming from Dawson Gordon, Kyle Pepper, and Patrick Dodds.  Isaac Swan contributed 4 assists and Ryan Atkinson went the distance to pick up the win in goal.


Game 2 of this series takes place Sunday at 2:00 pm on the mainland.  Should a third game be required, it will be back at the Q Centre on Monday, August 6 at 1:00 pm.
