49th Parallel Lacrosse Progam has a Remarkable Experience at BOXLA Nationals

The 49th Parallel Lacrosse Team arrived back home on Vancouver Island after a very successful weekend at the National BoxLax Championships in Huntington Beach California finishing fourth out of twelve teams in their division.

Sean Knoles founder of the program told ISN that the team played through injury, dealt with different rules and what he considered odd refereeing and still came out with a fourth place, finish playing against some amazing talent.

The best part of the experience according to Knoles was “how the boys bonded and the parents came together and forged new friendships”. He felt that the most memorable times were out of the arena in the pool and when they came together for meals.

He is looking forward to organizing the next experience for this team and the expansion teams.

Knoles, would like to thank BOXLA and the parents and athletes for helping him realize the dream of having an alternative program for both field and box lacrosse players. “If success is measured by smiles and laughter we knocked it out of the park” said Knoles.
