Hodson was drafted by the Royals in the third round, 52nd overall, at the WHL Bantam Draft this past May.
“Matthew is a skilled forward who plays at a high pace. He has the tools to be a very good player in the WHL,” President and General Manager Cameron Hope said. “We are pleased to have Matthew as part of our future plans.”
The native of Saskatoon, SK spent last season with the Saskatoon Outlaws of the Saskatchewan Bantam AA Hockey League (SBAAHL).
