Mount Douglas Rams upended South Delta

In a Western Conference opener, the Mount Douglas Rams upended South Delta by a score of 40 to 14.  The game was 18 to 14 in the 2nd half before the Rams rallied for 3 touchdowns to close out the game.

 

Zairech Kremler was the leading rusher for the Rams with 88 yards on 11 carries including a TD run, followed by Sam Mosky who chipped in with 52 yards on 7 carries.  Gideone Kremler passed for 170 yards and 3 touchdowns.  Sam Mosky was outstanding on the receiving end hauling in 3 passes for 118 yards and 2 TD’s, followed by Joe Lucas with 3 catches for 52 yards.

 

On the defensive side of the ball, once again Zairech Kremler had a big games with 6 tackles and 1 interception, followed by Dante Carbone with 4 tackles and 1 interception, Aidan Wold with 4 tackles and 1 sack, Aiden Bertuzzi with 4 tackles and 1 sack, Ivan Xu with 4 tackles and Enrique Del Alcazar with 3 tackles and 1 sack.

 

Sebastian Hansen led the way on Specials Teams with a 70 yard TD return.

 

“There were many positives to take away from the game but there are also areas needing improvement including taking too many costly penalties.  The game was actually far closer than the score would indicate as you would expect between these 2 rivals”.
