The Comox glacier Kings fell to the Victoria Cougars 4-1 on Thursday night. With their season being winless so far, Comox looked to get by the Victoria and collect their first win. The Cougars are looking to gain points from this four-game home stand, and take a run at first place in the league.
The game started with the Kings defense looking like they could handle the Cougars attacks. That is until the Cougars were able to break through as Mateo Albinati the league’s top scorer, roofs it on Matthias Smith of the Kings. Comox was able to tie the game, as Finn Withey would go on and score the King’s only goal for the game.
The Cougars, on the other hand, had a good amount of success as they were able to score three unanswered goals from Matthew Clark, Jack Hanrahan,and Marshall Brown. Although the Cougars had two goals called back for goaltender interference, It did not affect them at the end of the night.
