Both teams had tremendous goaltending throughout the game, Despite the Generals outshout the Cougars 46 to 18 they were not able to find the back of the net. As Owen Sikkes of the Cougars blocked all 46 shots. But it wasn’t just the Cougars who had amazing goaltending. Cougars Coach Suneil Karod said, “We played a lot in our D zone we overall had a pretty solid game for 60 minutes, and it just teaches us that you have to bury the chances you have when facing a hot goalie.”

The Generals did not lack in goaltending either as goalie Jacob Sweet was outstanding. Even though he did not face half of the shots that Sikkes did, he was a major part of how the Generals were able to stay in it.
Sweet allowed one goal all game which came from Mateo Albinati who has seemed to seriously find his grove throughout the season, scoring his 13th goal of the season.
