The women’s soccer team earned a 1-0 win over Fraser Valley in the Canada West quarter-finals over the weekend, which secured home field advantage for the Canada West Final Four. The Spartans will host Alberta in the semifinals Friday at 6 p.m. (PT) at Chase Office Field. The gold (5 p.m.) and bronze medal (2 p.m.) games will go Saturday.

The men’s soccer moved up one spot to No. 9 after beating Calgary 2-1 (4:3) after penalty kicks in the quarter-finals. The Spartans will play Thompson Rivers in the semifinals Friday at 4 p.m. (PT) at UBC.

TWU’s women’s volleyball teams earned back-to-back wins over UBC Okanagan to remain at No. 3, while the men’s volleyball team dropped two spots to No. 7 after also beating the Heat on two straight nights.

Both volleyball teams both host Alberta this weekend at the Langley Events Centre.

The cross country and women’s volleyball rankings are still based on coaches’ votes. The men’s volleyball rankings are also based on a statistical calculation (VRS).
