The game started with a scoreless first period as neither teams were able
to find the back of the net. The second period is where the Cougars were able to find their success, as they were able to pot four unanswered goals from Tyler Vanuden, Carl Ewert, Kevan McBean, and Matthew Clark. The Braves would go on to switch their goaltending as it wasn’t Connor Cheyne’s night. Saanich fought hard as they were able to score their only goal of the game which sparked a little bit of energy.

The third period came around as the Braves were looking to get back in the game. Saanich played a much better third period as they started to get more chances but Cougars’ goaltender Cameron Stevenson was there to deny all shots he faced. Victoria then would seal the deal as they scored three more goals from Booker Chacalias, Owen Dalman and Matthew Berryman.
