WHL Sends Seven Players to Canada’s National Junior Team


The Western Hockey League will send seven WHL players to Hockey Canada’s National Junior Team Selection Camp in Victoria, B.C., from December 12 to 14.

A pair first-round selections from the NHL Draft headline WHL representation, with forward Cody Glass (Vegas Golden Knights) of the Portland Winterhawks and defenceman Ty Smith (New Jersey Devils) of the Spokane Chiefs leading the way.

Joining Glass and Smith at National Junior Team Sport Chek Selection Camp are goaltender Ian Scott (Toronto Maple Leafs) of the Prince Albert Raiders, defencemen Calen Addison (Pittsburgh Penguins) of the Lethbridge Hurricanes and Josh Brook (Montreal Canadiens) of the Moose Jaw Warriors, along with forwards Jaret Anderson-Dolan (Los Angeles Kings) of the Spokane Chiefs and Brett Leason of the Prince Albert Raiders.
