Highlighted by a special 40th anniversary match to celebrate Vancouver’s 1979 NASL Soccer Bowl championship, Cascadia Cup home fixtures in March and May, an all-Canadian tilt prior to the Concacaf Gold Cup break, and four of the last five games at BC Place, Whitecaps FC unveiled their 2019 regular season schedule on Monday.

Led by new head coach Marc Dos Santos, Whitecaps FC will open the 2019 MLS season at home against Minnesota United FC on March 2 at 3 p.m. PT.

Vancouver’s 34-match regular season will include a home and away game against each Western Conference team, and one match against Eastern Conference clubs, including a first-ever meeting with expansion side FC Cincinnati on August 3 at Nippert Stadium and a visit from Wayne Rooney’s D.C. United on August 17 at BC Place

The season culminates with Decision Day, presented by AT&T, with all league matches kicking off simultaneously at 1 p.m. PT. The ‘Caps host Western Conference rival Real Salt Lake at BC Place in the regular season finale. As part of a new fixed-bracket, single-elimination format, the Audi 2019 MLS Cup Playoffs will begin on October 19 and the 2019 MLS Cup is set for November 10.
