Victoria tripped up by Seattle 6-4

The Victoria Royals were upended 6-4 by the Seattle Thunderbirds on Saturday night at the ShoWare Center.

Again the Royals continue to break down defensively allowing odd man rushes that cost them.

The Royals competed in their fourth teddy bear toss game of the season with tonight. Previously, the team had played in Prince George (December 2nd), in Vancouver (December 8th) and at home on December 15th against the Giants. This ties them with the Kamloops Blazers for the most teddy bear games played this season.

Island Connection:

Thunderbirds’ forward Payton Mount is a product of Victoria, BC. The winger was selected by Seattle in the first round, 19th overall, 2017 WHL Bantam Draft.

Back to the Barn:

Victoria returns home on Tuesday, January 22nd to battle former Royals’ forward Dante Hannoun and the CHL’s top ranked Prince Albert Raiders at 7:05 p.m.
