Mark McMorris (Regina, SK) put down a near flawless run on his third and final attempt to capture Gold at X Games Aspen on Saturday afternoon.  Finland’s Rene Rinnekangas came in second with Norway’s Mons Roisland taking the third and final spot.

The last rider to drop for the whole event, McMorris threw down a technical and extremly clean rail section before launching into a Switch Bs 1260, Fs Triple Cork 1440, and a massive Bs Triple Cork 1620. This represents McMorris’ 17th X Games medal, one medal away from tying Shaun White’s (USA) winter X Games medal record of 18.
