Victoria, BC – The Victoria Shamrocks announced their goaltenders for the 2019 season today – local players and veteran goaltenders Aaron Bold and Cody Hagedorn will be splitting net-minding duties in the club’s 70th anniversary season.

Bold, a 6’ 2”, 205 lb righty, is originally from Victoria, and made his Senior A lacrosse debut with the club from 2007-2009. He returned to Victoria in 2015 as part of the team’s ninth Mann Cup national championship victory, and again in 2017.

“It’s such an honour to play for the Shamrocks organization once again, especially in their 70th season. From the top of the executive all the way down to each player on the floor, you really feel a part of a competitive and caring family,” said Bold in a statement. “Playing in front of the best fans in the league and family is always a great honour as well. I am looking for big things to happen this season with this team, and I can’t wait to get started!”

Hagedorn, a 5’ 10”, 175 lb righty is also from Victoria and has spent his Junior A and Senior A careers with the Shamrocks.

“Wearing the Shamrock on my chest was always a dream of mine,” said Hagedorn in a statement. “Suiting up for this city and the fans for our 70th season just makes it that much better.”

Adam Shute, who suited up for the Shamrocks last season, will be remaining in Calgary this summer focusing on his academic pursuits.
