The Nanaimo Timbermen came into Wednesday’s contest with the Jr. Shamrocks at Island Savings Center in Duncan with a 4-0 record but the Rocks put the skid to that streak with a 15-8 victory.  Patrick Dodds and Ben Preston had outstanding offensive performances in the winning cause, each scoring 4 goals and adding 6 and 5 assists respectively.

Austin Madronic also had 4 goals while the league’s leading scorer Zach Manns chipped in 8 helpers.  Other Victoria goals came from Brian Robb, Caleb Kueber and Casey Wilson.  Cam Dunkerley picked up the win in goal with a 29-save performance.

The Jr. ‘A’ Shamrocks return to the Q Center for their next game Saturday, May 25 when they will take on the Burnaby Lakers at 5:00 pm.  The Tier 1 Junior B Shamrocks are also in action Saturday at the Q Center, facing the Richmond Roadrunners in a 1:00 pm start.
