With the HSBC Canada Sevens only 5 weeks away, volunteers are invited to sign up to support the delivery of the HSBC Canada Sevens 50-50, presented by Premier Partner Grosvenor. One lucky winner will take home 50% of the funds raised with the other half will be equally shared between BC Rugby and Ronald McDonald House BC & Yukon.
BC Rugby is proud to be partnering with Ronald McDonald House, Grosvenor’s charity of choice, and recently joined Grosvenor and several members of Canada’s Men’s Seven’s Team, including British Columbians Nathan Hirayama, Harry Jones, Adam Zaruba, Isaac Kaay, Phil Berna and Josh Thiel, in delivering an introductory rugby session for the children and their families residing at Ronald McDonald House BC & Yukon.
240 volunteers are needed to sell electronic tickets throughout the two-day World Rugby Sevens Series stop, taking place at BC Place on March 7 and 8. Volunteers will have free entry into the stadium and are welcomed to take in the action before or after their shift. There are four shifts covering the two days and anyone wishing to volunteer is invited to sign-up online via the link below.
BC Rugby utilises raised funds to support the delivery of its many programs and events aimed at youth, including delivering Rookie Rugby into primary schools through to events like the Provincial Regional Championships. RMH BC & Yukon provides accommodation and a community of support to families who must travel to Vancouver for treatment of a seriously ill or injured child. The 74,000 square foot facility provides a home away from home for up to 2000 families each year. If volunteering isn’t for you but you wish to catch the action please visit www.canadasevens.com/tickets for ticket options.
