The Jr. ‘A’ Shamrocks came away with a big 10-8 win at the Q Centre Saturday over the visiting New Westminster Salmonbellies.

The win moves the Rocks into second place, one point ahead of both the Salmonbellies and the Port Coquitlam Saints, both holding a game in hand.  Brad McCulley led the way for the Shamrocks with a big 5-goal performance while Marshal King had a goal and 5 helpers.  Other Victoria goals came from Jackson Boyd, Zach Manns, Brian Robb and Austin Madronic.  Cam Dunkerly got the win in goal.

The Shamrocks are on the road Sunday against the Delta Islanders and again on Tuesday to take on the Nanaimo Timbermen.  That game is taking place in the ‘big stick’ in Duncan.  Next home game isn’t until Saturday, June 30 when it will be ‘retro night’ as the Rocks host the Langley Thunder in a 4:00 pm start.
