Taylor Reese-Hansen and Tyler Tardi named Sport BC award finalists

Two BC curlers have been named as finalists for two of Sport BC’s 2019 Athlete of the Year Awards. 

Taylor Reese-Hansen of Team Reese-Hansen has been named as a finalist for the College Athlete of the Year Award. Reese-Hansen skipped Camosun College’s women’s curling team and led them to the college’s first ever women’s curling medal, a silver, at the 2018 CCAA Curling Championship.

Tyler Tardi of Team Tardi has been named as a finalist for the Junior Male Athlete of the Year Award. Tardi led his team to their second Canadian Junior Curling Championship win in 2018, which was followed by a gold medal at the 2018 World Junior Curling Championship.

The Sport BC 53rd Annual Athlete of the Year Awards Ceremony and Gala will take place on March 13, 2019, at the Fairmont Pacific Rim in Vancouver.
