Taylor Wickson – VIU Mariners

Taylor was a machine in the middle in a battle for national supremacy. On Friday she was set seven times and scored on six of them giving her a hitting percentage of 86%. She was also a wall at the net recording three solo stuff blocks and touching almost every other ball for a transition over. Taylor chipped in another three digs defensively. Then on Saturday, she continued to draw attention and recorded eight kills on 12 sets, chipped in three digs defensively and recorded another outstanding four stuff blocks. In total for the weekend Taylor scored 14 kills on only 19 sets making only one offensive error. She tallied six defensive digs and continued to add to her league leading blocking with seven more stuff blocks all in only six sets of play.

Male Athlete of the Week
Caleb Peters – COTR Avalanche

Caleb Peters continued to be an offensive force for the Avalanche as they swept the CBC Bearcats. In two matches he had 39 kills on 77 attempts (35% kill efficiency). He also added five aces and two blocks for a total of 46 offensive points in nine sets of play. He also helped out on defense with 11 digs. The first year outside hitter continued to dominate against the UFV Cascades as the Avalanche picked up another two wins to complete the weekend sweep. In seven sets against UFV, Peters put up 27 kills, three aces, four blocks and eight digs.
