Laurie Blouin (Stoneham, QC) wowed the Colorado crowd Thursday night, taking home the Gold medal in Women’s Big Air at X Games Aspen 2019. Thursday night’s event also signalled the start of Blouin’s first ever career X Games.

Competing against some of the world’s top riders, Blouin scored her combined score of 77.00 through a Cab double underflip 900 (42.00 points) and a frontside 900 (35.00 points) to take home the win. New Zealand’s Zoi Sadowski-Synnott took home the silver with the USA’s Jamie Anderson coming in third.

Blouin and her fellow Canadian Spencer O’Brien (Courtenay, BC) will next be in action during Saturday’s Women’s Slopestyle Final.
