Victoria’s longest running youth soccer festival, The Peninsula Co-op World
Cups Soccer Festival, is set to run on April 19-20th at Lochside Park.
Since 1986, the World Cups has seen kids aged 4-17 years old randomly represent
different nations, make new friends from different clubs and celebrate community. This
unique approach makes for a memorable event and atmosphere that fosters fair-play and
builds community.

This year the festival committee hopes to raise over $18,000 towards charities, schools,
associations and traveling teams through the district-wide Frank Leversedge Memorial
Fund.

These important community focused values are a key reason why Peninsula Co-op
are supporting as title sponsors to the event.
KidSport Greater Victoria continues to be a key festival partner and beneficiary. Last year
the festival contributed almost $3000 to the charity while funding ten children for the 2018-19 soccer season. This year, the festival hopes to reach $5000 going to KidSport. The
festival also supports the MS Kick for the Cure and Anneswer to Cancer through the
Strathcona Hotel Charity Classic.

This year Pacific FC players will look to take part in the Strathcona Hotel Charity Classic
along with lucky festival participants. This friendly charity game will hopefully raise close to
$4000. This charity game is looking for additional business supporters to boost its
charitable total.

The 2019 World Cups Soccer Festival is not to be missed. From its parade of nations,
dramatic soccer games, fun inflatables, player prizes, and its amazing sky-divers, the World
Cups is a one of a kind annual event that brings us together.
