It is that time of year again. Box lacrosse gear is being dug out of the garage, dusted off and youth of all ages are getting back into the swing of lacrosse. The season is getting closer and closer to getting under way for the Junior Shamrocks.

The Junior Rocks Organization started holding everyone welcome work out sessions well before tryouts began as a way to provide players with an outlet to get into top shape and be tryout ready.

Tryouts have been ongoing and tomorrow April 9th at 7pm at Juan de Fuca Arena is the big head to head Green vs White scrimmage. This scrimmage will determine the first round of cuts for the program so you can expect some great lacrosse as all players are vying for a place on either the Junior B Tier 1 or the Junior A team. Each roster is made up of 25 players and 2 goalies.

The word according to General Manager Wade Murray is that the talent has been great among the 50 players who have been attending (new and returning players) tryouts and with 15 previous players currently still away attending college, cuts will be hard.

Come out on Tuesday April 9th at 7pm Juan de Fuca arena – 1767 Island Hwy. Admission is free.
