The Junior B Tier 1 Shamrocks bounced back from a defeat Saturday and went on the road Sunday to defeat the Richmond Roadrunners by a 14-10 score with Cameron Lumb leading the way with 4 goals. The result gives the Shamrocks a 3-1 record heading into next week’s action. They will host the Delta Islanders Saturday at the Q Centre at 1:00 pm.
The Junior ‘A’ Shamrocks were also on the road Saturday, falling 12-9 to the Coquitlam Adanacs. The Rocks stayed close, holding the lead a few times before the Adanacs scored 5 unanswered goals in period 3 to get the win. Offensively the Shamrocks were led by Zach Manns with 2 goals and 4 assists and Patrick Dodds with 4 goals and 2 helpers. Ben Preston had the hat trick and 2 assists. Next weekend, the Jr. ‘A’ Rocks will play 2 games at the Q Centre. Saturday they will host the Langley Thunder at 5:00 pm and Sunday at 5:00 pm the Delta Islanders will visit.
