Canada beat Puerto Rico 3-0 (25-19, 25-18, 25-15) Friday night, and face Cuba today in the final of the fourth edition of the U21 Men’s Volleyball Pan American Cup, the last qualifying event for the U21 World Championship.

Canada’s offense was led by Xander Ketrzynski and Brodie Hofer, who contributed 13 points each, Michael Dowhaniuk added 11 points and Luis Lange, 10. Puerto Rico’s Johan Leon was that team’s top scorer with seven points.

Canada was superior in attack (36-19), block (10-3) and service (9-5). In unforced errors, the Canadians had 25 and Puerto Rico, 20.

Team Canada coach Adam Simac said: “The match against Cuba will be exciting – the key to our success will be playing our style of volleyball; if we play with heart I think it will be a very entertaining match.”

Puerto Rico plays for the bronze medal against Chile.

Canada plays 2017 U21 World Championship silver medalists Cuba at 3 pm local time, 4 pm ET.
