The Jr. ‘A’ Shamrocks were 2-for-2 on home floor this weekend. After defeating the Langley Thunder Saturday, they got a come-from-behind 12-6 win over the visiting Delta Islanders Sunday at the Q Centre. Zach Manns led the Shamrocks with a goal and 7 assists. Ben Preston had the hat trick and 2 helpers while Brayden Brown also contributed 5 points on a goal and 4 assists. Patrick Dodds and Casey Wilson had a pair of goals each. Cameron Dunkerley made 35 saves in picking up the win. The Jr. Rocks return to the Q Centre next Saturday, May 18 at 5:00 pm when the visitors will be the Burnaby Lakers.
The Tier 1 Junior B Shamrocks found themselves on the losing end of a 10-7 score Sunday on the mainland, losing the contest to the Delta Islanders. They also return to the Q Centre next Saturday, May 18 to host the Langley Thunder at 1:00 pm.
