On Friday night at the Nanaimo Ice Center the Nanaimo Jr A Timbermen hosted the Coquitlam Adanacs who came into the game atop the league standings with a perfect 8-0 record. The first period ended tied 3-3 with the highlight being two goals by Jr B callup Jack Bowie.
In the second period Nanaimo took the lead 5-4 with two goals by Thomas Vaesen. Each team scored three in the final frame giving the Timbermen a hard fought 8-7 victory.

Nanaimo played solid defence and Justin Geddie continues to be solid in net making 31 saves on 38 shots. The Adanacs leading point getter was Thomas Semple with two goals and an assist. With this win the Timbermen now sit second in league standings with a 7-1 record. The Timbermen and Adanacs meet again tonight in Nanaimo.
