The Victoria Shamrocks split a pair of road games over the weekend.
On Thursday the Shamrocks rallied to defeat the Nanaimo Timbermen by a 12-9 score before falling to the Maple Ridge Burrards 9-5 last evening at Cam Neely Arena.
The Shamrocks will look to bounce back with a pair of BIG home games this weekend at the Q Centre. On Friday evening they welcome the New Westminster Salmonbellies for a 7:00 pm start with the game being presented by Get in the Loop.
On Sunday, it’s the Shamrocks Annual Alumni game presented by Slegg Building Materials. There will be a tailgate party prior to the game beginning at 4:00 pm with game time scheduled for 6:00 pm.
Victoria native Marshal King is expected to make his season debut this weekend after finishing his NCAA season with Drexel University. King was 3rd in Dragons scoring with 24 goals and 25 assists for 49 points in 24 games played.
This weekend will also be the first chance for fans to see 2018 NLL Defensive player of the year Graeme Hossack in the Shamrocks line up. Hossack made his season debut on Sunday against the Burrards and made his impact felt on both sides of the floor.
