The Victoria Royals today announced that the club has received conditional draft pick compensation in 2021 and 2022 from the Lethbridge Hurricanes in exchange for overage forward D-Jay Jerome (1999).

 

The native of Lethbridge, AB, played in 68 games for the Royals last season and collected 42 points (23g-19a) along with 53 minutes in penalties. Jerome also took part in 10 contests during the 2019 WHL Playoffs where he recorded two goals and an assist.

 

Over 167 career WHL regular season games split between Victoria, the Prince Albert Raiders and Red Deer Rebels, Jerome registered 59 points (31g-28a) and 126 penalty minutes. He has also played in 20 post-season contests, all with the Royals, and has tallied two goals and two assists.

 

The 6-2, 180 lb winger was originally added to the Rebels’ 50-man Protected List back in 2016.
