Canada defeated Dominican Republic 3-0 (25-14, 25-22, 25-14) on Wednesday, and today the team faces Peru for seventh place in the Men’s Pan American Cup in Colima, Mexico.
The Canadians were happy with their performance against the Dominican. “This was our first game where we really came together, so it was really nice to see everyone having fun,” said player Craig Ireland. “We’re a good passing team and we didn’t show it in our previous games, and we did some nice block touches and digs in the back. We’re a new team and this was a new environment for us, so it took us a little too long to come together.”
Today’s schedule includes classification matches and semi-finals.
